Groth 2022 Estate Chardonnay captures the quintessential characteristics of its varietal and provenance. Inviting aromas of crème brûlée, green apple, ripe cantaloupe and apricot jam greet the nose with an underlay of orange blossom, lychee and baking spice. The palate is rich and luxurious with an opulent surge of grilled peach and yellow plum kept in focus by a lift of orange zest acidity, finishing long with a toasted brioche echo. — Director of Winegrowing Ted Henry

Our 44-acre Hillview Estate, acquired in 1982, was initially sought for its exceptional Merlot. We’ve since discovered its capacity for producing world-class Chardonnay and strategically replanted 24 acres to select clones. Clone 4 (Wente) produces healthy-sized clusters that mature later, balancing ripe, expressive fruit with fresh, bright acidity and a distinct mineral edge. Early-ripening Clone 76 (Dijon) bears smaller clusters and results in wines that are aromatic and well-balanced. Both clones are well-suited to the vineyard’s alluvial soils as well as the cooling influence of San Pablo Bay.

This wine’s refreshing acidity and well-rounded flavor profile make it a great match for a range of dishes, including linguine with clam sauce, seared Dungeness crab cakes, or crispy fried tofu and rice noodles.

Where can you ship to?

All states except AL, AR, DE, IN, LA, MS, OK, RI, UT, WV and WY. Please note it remains illegal to ship wine to any community in the state of Kentucky that prohibits the local sale of alcohol ("dry communities").

When will I receive my wine?

Ground shipping orders will arrive in 7-10 business days. Orders with Overnight, 2-Day and 3-Day shipping will ship the same business day if placed by 9 a.m. Pacific. We do not ship over the weekend.

When will I receive my tracking information?

Your tracking information will be emailed to you once your package is scanned and the wine is in transit.

SHIPPING DEADLINES:

Orders placed by 9 a.m. Monday through Friday will ship the same business day. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will ship the following business day.
